Note this sprocket-wheel buried in the middle of the machine.
It's connected to a computer in the cab that calculates the amount of board feet, size of job, etc. processed by the machine. Apparently it can email you a spreadsheet if you wanted it to.. We saw the guy only using it to cut his desired log-lengths

The Shovel

This is the all-around workhorse of the logging company
Here he's sorting and piling different sizes and species

The Skidder

Skidder is another workhorse tool in the toolbox
That's the back-end with a winch drum and a grapple
 

Here's the front end as it churns through mud towing a raft of logs.
With a brush blade and chains, there's no place this thing can't go

The Feller-Buncher

We look at the business-end as it comes off the truck

This was one heck of a machine
