Moving the Flatcar Bridge
Bridge arrives on flatbed from Lebanon Oregon

Truck drove to our North Gate to be unloaded

Here's Tim's shovel lifting off the two abutments

This was the easy part

Tim and Justin having a discussion on just how to lift this thing
Meanwhile the road is blocked for access to the upper twin falls home sites

First they tried to lift the whole thing and the chain broke.
It was just too heavy. Note the white car, lower left waiting.

Next they decided to lift one end and have the truck drive forward and the end on the truck would rotate

Here the truck is inching forward

And forward a little more

Tim sets down the one end and lifts the other end and the truck drove out from under

Dragging it off out of the way

Here it sits off to the side for two weeks

Hart Logging 'Justin' welded a set of old dual truck wheels to one end because it needed to go another 1/4 mile to the final location

They used the skidder's "grapple"
to pick up one end and tow it back to it's temporary winter storage location

Here's it's going past the house-tight turn

Parked until July 2019
Wheel hub sitting on top was welded to the center green plate.
Skidder's grapple was used to pull the bridge 1/4 mile to parking.
